New England College of Business and Finance - Setting New Standards Online

In 1999 when I was 19 years old, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I lost the ability to drive, which was truly disappointing considering I live in a small town with no public transportation. What’s worse is that I live in a country area where nothing is within walking distance. But thanks to online education, I was able to acquire various degrees and certificates at several different colleges and universities.

At the time I was diagnosed with epilepsy, I was enrolled in two classes at a local community college and the semester was about halfway over. Even though I was previously able to drive, I often complained that it took me so long to drive to the college and then drive back home. This was time which could have been used to study. Unfortunately, I was forced to drop one class since I could not find anyone to take me and pick me back up. But, I was able to get a ride from my mother in order to complete the other class.

After that semester was over, everyone I knew made it clear to me they would not be available to take me to college classes and then do grocery shopping or wait in a parking lot while I was in school. Back in 1999, I had absolutely no options available to further my college education. I didn’t know about online education at the time. I basically was forced to sit around the house very disappointed all day (just as I often do now, since I am still unemployed).

But in 2003 when I learned about online education, it really sparked an interest in my life! I enrolled online at Lansing Community College, where I eventually earned two associate’s degrees, in addition to three Microsoft Office Specialist certificates. I completed an online program where I earned a certificate in Time Management. I then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Process Management from Franklin University – a school my sister and I graduated from and recommend you do NOT attend!

While I attended college online, I was very happy. I thought there was hope for the future. I literally was a double-time student – enrolled in up to nine classes at a time, earning a 4.0 in all of them! I saw this as a way to make up for lost time over the previous four years. I used this enthusiasm and hope as a source of fuel to study, do homework, and perform well on proctored tests.

Ever since I graduated, I have been trying to find work online. Sadly, I have not been able to do so. I can definitely confirm college improved all my skills associated with writing, math, finance, marketing, management, and entrepreneurial business. But I know that one in three degrees received by students each year is in some way related to business. In other words, business is an area with tough competition and may require a master’s degree in order to give you a competitive edge.

One of the best accredited online MBA programs I’ve seen is from the New England College of Business and Finance. I know having an online degree in finance can help you get a good job, because my sister worked at a bank where the manager of the entire bank had this type of degree. However, it really does seem like most of the jobs today list a bachelor’s degree as a requirement while saying a master’s degree is preferred.

I really like the way the New England College of Business and Finance is the first school in the United States to offer a compliance training program dedicated to ethics in the world of business. This graduate course allows you to receive a Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance – also known as an MBE. When you complete this program you significantly increase your opportunity for employment working as a financial consultant, compliance officer, or corporate auditor. You will be the one setting the cultural standards relating to business ethics for non-profit organizations you work with.

I also noticed the hospitality degree offered by the New England College of Business and Finance. This is essentially a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specific focus on Hospitality Management. After doing some research, I learned this means you will be focused on gaining skills associated with hotel management, catering of food and beverages, event planning, and human resources.

I’ve known several people who worked at hotels and eventually worked their way up the ladder to impressive careers, enjoying their job the whole time. If this is an area you are interested in, it seems like this program will help you acquire all the skills needed in order to achieve your objectives. Plus, placing the emphasis of Hospitality on this bachelor’s degree can give your résumé an advantage over others in this niche market.

I can tell you that attending school online really is a great thing. You don’t need to waste money on gas, and you don’t need to waste time driving. I realize some people enjoy learning in a classroom – sometimes considering it a social activity. I also realize some people are involved in programs such as medicine and surgery where you need to see things in person. But I can tell from personal experience that the subjects associated with business are very enjoyable online.

Jose Canseco - Immoral Man

Jose Canseco has sent his twin brother, Ozzie, to fight in his place in a celebrity boxing match he was being paid $5,000 to participate in. This was an illegal thing to do, and it happened because Jose Canseco wasn’t willing to take any pain. Jose Canseco has always been the type of person who tries to take shortcuts to reach glory. As a baseball player and now as a celebrity host, Jose Canseco takes illegal shortcuts that ultimately result in his name and the name of his employer being disgraced.

Jose Canseco originally started out as an excellent baseball player. He possessed excellent strength and speed – a combination that is rare in major league baseball. Jose Canseco was the founding member of the 40/40 club. This means he was the first player in history to ever hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in one season (42 home runs, 40 stolen bases). As long as people thought Jose Canseco had worked hard to earn this glory on his own, everything was fine.

People were very disappointed to learn that Jose Canseco had used performance-enhancing drugs as a player. The sport of baseball lost popularity thanks to selfish players such as Jose Canseco. Ratings and attendance dropped because people don’t want to be around cheaters and liars inspired by tarnished records set by Jose Canseco. The only thing Jose Canseco can say he did was cheat people out of money and use illegal substances to unfairly get to the top.

The simple fact is that if a man uses steroids but doesn’t lift weights, he will still generate muscle faster than a non-steroid-using man that works hard lifting weights. It truly is a disgrace when a steroid-using man such as Vince McMahon ends up on the cover of Muscle and Fitness magazine, since McMahon admits to being a steroid user! Jose Canseco used those performance-enhancing drugs while training in excellent facilities, all while monitoring the health of his body professionally to minimize health risks (a page out of the playbook of the McMahon family).

I think it is an absolute disgrace when men like Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hulk Hogan, and Jose Canseco tell kids not to take steroids because of health risks. Each of those men would be absolutely nothing if it wasn’t for performance-enhancing drugs such as anabolic steroids! These men probably wake up every day and thank the Lord for anabolic steroids. And when these men speak to kids in California, they probably are thinking “Kid, if you want to make it as an actor in the 21st century, do yourself a favor and start taking steroids now!”

Think about how performance-enhancing drugs affected the careers of Jose Canseco, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Hulk Hogan. If it wasn’t for those drugs, Jose Canseco would not have possessed the strength needed to hit 42 home runs or the speed to steal 40 bases. If it wasn’t for those drugs, Schwarzenegger never would have been able to become a Mr. Olympia bodybuilder. Schwarzenegger would never have been cast to play Conan or star in movies such as Commando or Predator. And we certainly would never have seen Hulk Hogan become a wrestling star without steroids.

People realized that Ozzie Canseco was not Jose Canseco for two main reasons. First, people noticed that Ozzie Canseco is smaller than Jose. This initially wasn’t enough, though, because some people hadn’t seen Jose in as long as 18 months. The big piece of evidence was found when Ozzie did not have the tattoos on his arm that Jose Canseco is known to have.

Ultimately, the people to feel bad for in this situation are the fans that purchased tickets specifically to see Jose Canseco get his butt kicked. The fans were not given a refund by the promoter. Instead, the fans were given tickets to the next event. If that was me, I would be demanding my money back!

Currently, the promoter probably doesn’t care. He will actually make money as a result of this situation. He gets to have all those tickets sold along with a lot of expensive food and beverages. The promoter also gets to sell lots of expensive money-making food and drinks at the next event. This isn’t fair to the people who only wanted to see one thing: Jose Canseco get beaten up for being an immoral idiot!

People really should stand up for themselves and DEMAND their money back! This would cost the promoter of the event a lot of money, but he would get it back. The promoter of the event would take Jose Canseco to court for that huge financial loss. This financial loss along with punitive damages would motivate Jose Canseco not to commit crimes like that in the future.

Believe it or not, this is actually not the first time Jose Canseco and his twin brother Ozzie have worked in illegal and immoral ways like this. The Canseco family tries to take advantage of every possible opportunity to take money from people. Apparently, Jose did not believe the smaller events were worth his time, but he still acknowledged the value of the smaller events. Ozzie handled the smaller stuff and kept the money for himself. This was something Jose approved of, since Ozzie is his brother.

There have been times in the past when Jose and Ozzie have used this type of illegal bait-n-switch advertising before. For example, hard-working loyal fans would pay hard-earned money for the autograph of Jose Canseco. But Ozzie is the one that would show up in place of Jose. What’s worse is that Ozzie would actually sign the name of “Jose Canseco” and claim to be his brother!

Jose Canseco should be fired by any employer that values a quality reputation. The same can be said about Ozzie Canseco. If you have any items that were ever autographed by Jose Canseco, I suggest you confirm it was really Jose Canseco who did the signing. History has proven there is a chance Ozzie may have been the one playing the role of Jose Canseco!
